Hi, I’m Kaijanee! I have tutored many students via online tutoring sites and by word of mouth receiving unanimous 5-star reviews by all students !
During the current COVID-19 circumstance I am available for tutoring online and happy to continue teaching online if you prefer this means of teaching. Other ways I am happy to teach are at home, in a public area i.e. library and on some occasions can also tutor at the tutees house.
This will be a free 30-45 minute chat with the tutee offered for ONLINE STUDENTS. The intentions of this is to iron out any teething problems and find a system that works most beneficial for the student.
Please note that NO MATHEMATICS would be taught during this session.
More about me:
- I have NEVER achieved a grade below B grade
- Studying at Keele University, one of the top universities for Medicine in UK
I want and will try my best to make all my students successful and independent learners!
I am very understanding of individual student abilities and circumstances. I am easy to relate to, friendly, patient and very professional.
VALUES AND CONDITIONS OF WHICH I OPERATE
I am very understanding about lesson cancellations from personal experiences whether it is family emergencies and illnesses or other personal reasons. Concurrently, for any students who cancel with LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE of the lesson will be provided ONE FREE CANCELLATION per academic year. Thereafter, for any students who cancel with LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE will pay HALF the amount of the lesson.
BENEFITS OF TUITION WITH ME
tailored home-works set based on what students’ weaknesses are, what they have covered in class and their current schedule.
I am happy to be guided by you or tutor according to my plan.
I am currently tutoring over 5 students online during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
I teach the topics right from my home to theirs and then get her to apply it by doing some practice questions followed by going through corrections.
All via ONLINE!!
BENEFITS OF ONLINE TUTORING???
- More comfortable learning environment
- Avoid commuting
- Convenience and flexibility
Maths is a very strong subject of mine.
I sat my Maths GCSE exam in Year 10, a year earlier than 50% of the students in my year at school and achieved A*.
I went on to doing Additional Maths in Year 11 which I passed with an A, the highest grade you can achieve!
I studied AS Maths and Further Maths and went on to do A-Level Maths as well!
KS1 to KS3 Maths
I have perviously been a Maths and English tutor at Kumon Tutoring centre. Here I helped students from KS1 to KS3 to gain confidence in their studies and to work through problems quickly and efficiently.
I have tutored Mathematics to students in KS2, making the subject engaging by giving sticker charts and mini prizes each time they do well in tests I set for them and complete homework.
A feedback I received from a Year 4 student’s mother on TuorHunt was ” “We were struggling to find a good tutor around our area, and I put an emphasis on `good` as they are hard to find. It has been two lessons now with Ms Kaijanee for my Year 4 daughter and it is pretty evident that Ms Kaijanee is very proficient in what she does. It is also very important to have essential traits as a teacher, including bucket load of patience and dedication shown to the student, Ms Kaijanee fulfils this requirement. She is methodical in her approach, has a good strategy for teaching, and, very encouraging which has helped my daughter. And for my daughter to start taking an interest in a subject she previously hesitated with, and to do so more confidently - a huge credit goes to Ms Kaijanee. We as a parent would highly recommend Ms Kaijanee to anyone who is searching for an excellent Maths teacher.”
I have also tutored students from Year 9 to Year 11 who are towards GCSE Mathematics. I initially go through the content thoroughly to ensure the student has grasped the topic and then ask them to do selected past paper exam questions on the specific content covered to consolidate their learning.
A tutee’s mother I tutored via Superporf has said:
“Perfect! An amazing tutor, so well prepared. My daughter in Year 10 loves her lessons and has already increased in confidence in just 2 lessons. Really happy with Kaijanee.”
I have now had over 10 lessons with this student and still going!
AS and A-Level Maths
When I sat my AS and A-Level maths they were divided into C1, C2, C3 and C4 in A-Level Mathematics (under the old specification). I sat a lot of my core Maths in Year 12 instead of Year 13 and achieved high UMS scores in my core and 100% in my Core 2 Examination , with an overall A grand in my AS Maths - highest score you can achieve!
I went into Year 13 and as the content I was learning was different from what my school was teaching, I self taught myself the content and got an A at A-levels. The year after I left I had many peers in the year below tell me how the teachers always mentioned this in their lessons!!
Please note the first lesson is not free
Perfect! An amazing tutor, so well prepared. My daughter in Year 10 loves her lessons and has already increased in confidence in just 2 lessons. Really happy with Kaijanee.
She was a pleasure to teach!
She quickly picked up on everything I taught her. Also, completed all the questions I set her in class and asked questions when she didn't understand them
I strongly recommend Kaijanee to anyone looking for a help for their child's entrance 11+ exams. Kaijanee has helped my daughter with Techniques that has been beneficial to her 11 plus preparation. She also uses stickers and sticker charts which my daughter loves and makes her want to learn more and do her homework promptly in time for the next session with Kaijanee.
