A very much hands-on approach; there's no point in watching someone cook, without them to guide and watch you do it yourself. All throughout I provide helpful tips and tricks to make cooking easier or more efficient. My experience working for a kitchenware shop has also provided me with the knowledge of how to make do with only certain or limited equipment too.
My medical background provided me with a foundation to investigate more into nutrition, and it is one of my special interests.
I'm a medical student with a passion for cooking. Since early on in school I've been trying out new recipes, cuisines, and finding ways that recipes could've been worded or explained better (I even wrote a blog while I was in school with the purpose of making recipes understandable). My friends know I'm very much not your average student when it comes to food, and have put on lavish 7 course tasting menu dinner parties for friends in the past.
My food tastes are influenced by my Indian and Jewish heritage, and due to the environmental concerns of animal products, vegetarianism and veganism. Whilst I am neither of the two, I actively explore vegan and vegetarian recipes and alternatives to dishes, and delight when I'm able to make vegan dishes that are head and shoulders better than some meat ones.
