My name is Rob and I am a 3rd year medical student at the University of Oxford. I use past paper questions to guide the learning in tutorials as I believe that, as well as a strong grip of the core concepts, the ability to translate knowledge into a coherent exam question response is essential for achieving the highest grades in both A-levels and GCSEs. As such, my tutorials usually begin with a review of any homework set, followed by some time spent exploring the core concepts of the subject matter which we would then put into practice answering exam style questions.
I have been tutoring in A-level and GCSE Sciences, as well as Oxbridge and Medical entrance exams, for 4 years. I have had around 20 students during this time, and have had a variety of excellent results. In some cases, I offer advice and guidance for a particular piece of work - be it an EPQ or university coursework - from which I have been able to improve students marks by up to two grades. As well as this, I have worked with some students in building confidence for exams over a longer period of time, ensuring students are thoroughly prepared and can sit exams trusting in their own abilities.
I am a third year medical student at the University of Oxford, Christ Church, having studied A-levels at BHASVIC sixth form, Brighton. In addition, I have had a wide range of experience working with many different types of people, in a variety of voluntary and paid settings, and always approach new challenges and responsibilities with enthusiasm and dedication. As an ambitious person, I am driven to work hard to achieve my full potential in my chosen field.
