Our son had lessons with Mia for 2 years, after he was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyspraxia. Mia stripped literacy and maths to the basics and built them up with him. She also taught him strategies to cope with his conditions. Our son grew in confidence and ability. As parents we were
taught how to support our son. He continues to flourish and is now considering a career in medicine. I truly believe that our boy would not be doing so well without her help - we can not thank Mia enough.
Mia tutored my two eldest children for 2 years, both for dyslexia and the youngest for very poor handwriting as well. They showed huge improvements in their attitude to learning and made great progress in school. Mia gave us work to do at home so that we could support them with their work in class. With her expertise our eldest managed to achieve good SATs results in Y6. He is now in secondary school where he is taking 2 foreign languages and is streamed in the top 2 classes for all core subjects.
Our 8 year old son had become disruptive in class while his work was below expectation. We contacted Mia, who did an assessment and found that our son is dyslexic. Now he is receiving the right support in class. Mia has taught him for 7 months so far, with satisfying results. He enjoys his lessons, there are fun activities and he has no idea that he is actually learning. A parent is present in the lessons and that teaches us how to help our boy at home. His behaviour is vastly improved!
