Hi! I am an enthusiastic brass teacher with over 4 years experience. I hold position of sole brass teacher at an Independent School in Islington as well as teaching privately. Brass playing should be thoroughly enjoyable and this is how I teach!
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach all varieties of trumpets (Bb, C, Piccolo...) and also cornet and flugelhorn. Although specialising in trumpet, I can also teach other treble clef brass instruments. As well as this I teach music theory which is an essential part of any musician's repertoire and also essential to pass beyond Grade 5 exams.

I teach mostly at homes or places of students' choice.

Lessons can be arranged from week to week and I am very flexible.

About Michael
- What kind of experience do you have?
As a teacher I have over 4 years private teaching experience ranging from beginner adult learners and school age children to more advanced students looking to progress to higher goals. I also hold a position as brass teacher in an independent school in Islington, in which I teach all brass instrument across age groups and abilities.
I have experience working with outreach projects through Kidenza Education Orchestra, DeCoda Ensemble Outreach Programme and Superbrass Group Education Internship. I have also worked alongside up and coming musicians in musical theatre through the Talentz group in Kent, coaching them through shows in a side-by-side set up.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
No. Although, I am more than happy for parents to sit in on any required number of lessons if they feel it necessary.
