I am a freelance professional musician with years of performing experience all over the UK, Europe and India. I am also a piano teacher and workshop leader and I like to focus on creativity as much as I focus on technique.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach a variety of subjects on the Piano. I can teach classical grades as well as coach general musicianship, aural training and the ability to play totally by ear.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Masters' degree in Music from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £25 per hour lesson at home and £35 per hour lesson to travel.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at home. I can travel within about half an hour of E15.
- When are you available?
My timetable is very flexible. I am generally free during the day and busy in the evening. I can work around students' timetables.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Normally from 8 upwards, up to A-Level music and grade 8 in piano.
- What kind of experience do you have?
As a music leader I have worked for institutions such as the Barbican Centre, London Philharmonic Orchestra and British Council. I have worked with all ages and abilities, from school children to detainees immigration detention centres. I've performed all over the place, from Glastonbury Festival to the Queen Elizabeth Hall and I work across all sorts of styles of music both as a performer and as an educator.
