-I have recently graduated from the University of Liverpool with a Master's in Microbiology.
-I have always had such a passion for Biology and the sciences in general.
-I am looking to help anyone studying for GCSEs or AS/A-level.
-I believe strategies for learning need to be based on more than just recalling facts. The lesson must be engaging and interactive in order for information to stick in long-term memory.
-I talk to people on their own level and having only recently left education I know what students are going through from my own experiences.
-I have grown up teaching my young niece and nephew and helping them with homework, and find it a joy to watch them succeed and grow to love a subject.
-I have had no formal teaching experience.
-I volunteered for a youth club for 3 years.
-I have a TEFL qualification which has taught me teaching skills and techniques.
-I was a "buddy" throughout my time at University, giving academic help and guidance to students in the year below.
-I taught family members during school holidays and after school, and helped with science based homework.

Second year: 65%
Third year: 67%
Fourth year Masters Project: Investigating the effect of altering hyphal growth properties of pathogenic fungi Aspergillus nidulans, on hyphal morphology and virulence. The project aimed to discover if knocking out various elements of polarity pathways altered directional control and virulence on wax moth larvae. Project involved use of ImageJ and MatLab.
Third year Honours Project: Investigating the role of progesterone-mediated bacterial adaptation in Urinary Tract Infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The project aimed to discover if progesterone could alter the pathogenicity of P.aeruginosa, using crystal violet assays and antimicrobial sensitivity tests to investigate changes in quorum sensing, biofilm formation and multi-efflux pump production.
Modules studied include: - Neuromuscular physiology; Microbial diversity and versatility; Vector biology; Genes and cancer; The Multicellular Organism: tissues, development, regeneration and aging; Veterinary parasitology and public health; The immune system in health and disease; Biochemical Methods ; Techniques in Cell Biology
