In the last two years, my students have achieved very good results in Grade exams: two students passed grade 8 with merit, two passed grade 5 with merit, one passed grade 3 with distinction and three passed grade 1 with distinction. They have also achieved similar results with Theory exams: four passed grade 5 with distinction, one passed grade 3 with merit, and two passed grade 2 with distinction.
As well as teaching, I have given many concerts in the UK and in China including in Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe, Queen's Theatre in Barnstaple, Holy Trinity Church in London, Beijing Concert Hall in China, both as a soloist and as part of a chamber group. in 2013, I performed Greig Piano Concerto with Brighton Youth Orchestra, and in 2006 July, I performed Finzi 'Eclogue' with the North Devon Orchestra. Ming has been the piano teacher for our two young daughters (11 and 7) for three years, from the start she made a connection with each of them, which give them the motivation to practice and improve while enjoying it. Ming is always on time, prepared and organized. We strongly recommend her.
My 5 and 7 year old children have been studying piano with Ming for about 7 months now, and they love it. Ming has a very gentle and fun way of engaging the children, and they always look forward to their lessons. Ming is always happy to travel to our home for lessons, which makes it so convenient for me! I would strongly recommend Ming to other families who may be considering piano lessons for their little ones.
Ming has been my piano teacher for over two years during which time she has helped me to pass Grade 1 and 2 of the ABRSM, we are currently working on Grade 3.
Although we are using the grade exams as a tangible means of measuring progress, most of our lessons are about the pleasure of playing music and Ming is equally at home with teaching popular songs as she is with the standard classical repertoire.
I really enjoy our lessons and I highly recommend her.
