I use a variety of techniques in my teaching, trying to make lessons fun and engaging. I recognise that what works for one student won't always for others, and that's okay! I'll always work around the needs of my students to give them the best possible experience.
Where students are following a specific curriculum in school, I'll use that as a basis for my lessons, to provide as much continuity as possible. But where that curriculum isn't working for the student, I'll go out of my way to find the right way to work with them.
I graduated from the University of Exeter in 2017 with a first class honours degree in French and Italian. During my degree, I studied linguistics, literature and cinema as well as the languages themselves. During my year abroad, I taught English at a secondary school in Naples, Italy, which gave me some excellent experience teaching languages. Whilst in Naples, I also tutored some young children in English. They ranged in age from 3 to 10 years.
Following graduation, I completed a Masters degree in Medieval Studies, focusing on medieval French literature. I graduated with a distinction in 2019. Consequently, I am able to provide lessons dealing with literature as well as languages, including in English.
