My teaching method is I base my classes on the following;
I ask open-ended questions. By posing questions that require more than a yes/no response, I try and encourage my students to start thinking.
Importantly, I like to gauge my student's comprehension on any topic as I teach, this allows me to know they understand what It's been said.
I use positive reinforcement, it allows my tutees to notice their successes as well as their mistakes, for I try to strive for progress, not perfection.
Finally, I let my tutees do the work because by allowing the tutees to have control of the process, you encourage independent learning and help the tutees gain confidence in their own ability and an awareness of their learning styles.

Investigating the Use of Artificial Neural Networks as Surrogate Models (Master’s Thesis) May 2018
The aim of this project is to design and train an optimal artificial neural network (ANN), using techniques such as back propagation to act as a response surface surrogate (surrogate model), in order to approximate the response surface of computationally intensive models.
The project seeks to evaluate the performance of ANNs as surrogate models, by implementing various neural network techniques we can develop an artificial neural network acting as a surrogate model. Analysis of data, data modelling, reporting to the client on an agile method approach, were few processes undertaken throughout the completion of the project.
