I am a patient and enthusiastic tutor. I seek to give engaging and conceptually oriented lessons to help students understand and learn the subject matter from scratch or from a position where they might face difficulty. My lessons cater to students of all abilities. I particularly set a lot of store by giving examples from day-to-day life wherever possible and applicable to increase a student's relatability to the subject matter.
I have a Master’s degree in Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine from Aston University, Birmingham. I have tutored underprivileged students in Science at the GCSE and A Level on a voluntary basis in India. Many of the students have successfully gone on to secure admission in engineering and medical colleges. I have also taught English on an online platform to civil service aspirants in India. My total experience in tutoring is 4 years.
I am patient and understanding of the student's perspective and can tailor my method of teaching to suit the student's needs.
I've known Pawan Kumar since Jan 2016 as an undergraduate student at the Vellore Institute of Technology where I've been an Associate Professor since Jun 2011. I taught him an elective course on “Stem Cell Technology” during which time I had multiple opportunities to observe and assess him. During our frequent associations, I was impressed with his sharp mind and ingenious ability to comprehend, analyze and assimilate various concepts in both theoretical and laboratory aspects of biotechnology.
I am quite confident that, being fluent in thought and cogent in expression, he could easily influence and impress people around him. Another fine and unique aspect about Pawan is his extremely humble and pleasing attitude. Considering his fluency in the English language, flair for creativity, what he has learned and his unflagging zeal for learning and sharing, I sincerely believe that he would make an excellent tutor.
I take immense pleasure in unequivocally supporting his new academic endeavour. I wish him all the very best!
I have known Pawan for the last five years as we studied together at university for our undergraduate degree. He is a hardworking and determined individual. I have seen him teach Biology to underprivileged students between grades IX and XII in the neighbourhood we lived in during our undergraduate days. He is a patient and understanding tutor who works to help different students according to their abilities. His great command of the subject and his affable nature make him a good and effective teacher. He would often use examples from day to day life to make the lessons more interesting and enjoyable. Students would eagerly look forward to his lessons. I have no qualms in recommending him to potential students as he has a lot of potential to make a difference in their lives.
He is knowledgeable biologist and has taught many undergraduates. I have no doubt in his tutoring capability.
