I am happy to give lessons to anyone A-level standard or below as these are all topics that I have experienced first hand. I believe that the best way to learn music is through practical experience followed by the consolidation of music theory in order of everyone to understand why certain music is more successful and pleasing than others.
I am currently at university studying music performance and songwriting. I have been a music teaching assistant at a Prep school for a year and therefore have extensive knowledge of the primary curriculum. I also have grade 5 music theory and an A-level in music meaning I am equipt to help anyone up to this level in theory or practical music.
I am hard working, highly motivated and eager to learn. I am very creative with a positive outlook on life making me a friendly, upbeat person to be around. This past academic year I have been working at Ipswich Preparatory school as a gap year student and at Clip n Climb Ipswich in many roles around the centre to further my education and life experience. I have recently begun studying music performance and songwriting at BIMM Brighton. My friends would describe me as loyal, outgoing and funny. I have always loved performing to a high standard but in recent years it has been recognised that I am a strong role model. As a result of this I have developed a love for inspiring, nurturing and teaching young people.

Employment
Clip n Climb opened in Ipswich in June 2019 and since then I have been employed to undertake various roles including receptionist, party host, cafe assistant and examination instructor. These roles have allowed me to expand my customer service skills whilst exercising a passion of mine and passing it onto the next generation.
From September 2019 to current I have been working at Ipswich Preparatory School as a gap year student fulfilling teaching assistant duties such as aiding the children with their studies and social skills, supporting music lessons, preparing for productions and providing 1:1 teaching to assist children who need more guidance.
From September 2017 to current I have been employed as a part time teaching assistant at Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing arts. My job involves teaching 4-6 year olds basic skills in Acting, Singing and Dancing, as an assistant I also frequently deal with individual issues of the children. I also worked with the older children (7-14) on their musical, ‘Hairspray’ in the last term.
During holiday periods I have undertaken part time work at Milsoms Hotel and Restaurant. This has helped me to develop my communication skills and ability to relate to other people. I feel that this job has also aided my knowledge of professionalism and teamwork within the workplace.
For the past 5 years I have volunteered at the beginning of the summer at Waldringfield Primary School, my duties included helping the children with Maths and English, supporting the current staff members with administration tasks and running and directing their end of year musical production. I also volunteer at my local Beaver group as an assistant Beaver Leader planning games and activities and was a leader and on the committee at the Young Dreamers Theatre Company in Felixstowe.
Hobbies, Interests and Other Achievements
I have always had a love for the outdoors and adventurous activities such as rock climbing and abseiling. I am lucky enough to be able to pursue these interests through my leadership role within the scouting movement allowing me to partake and teach these areas. I was always heavily involved in the Arts in School through being in Productions, singing in various choirs and playing Viola in the String Ensemble. I created and led the staff choir and often took sectional rehearsals for the younger choirs.
