I have taught from ages 7 to 57! I tailor each lesson to the student's age and level. For younger children, I tend to make lessons more fun with lots of games and praise. For older students who have more goals and maybe wish to take exams, we can work in a structured way on the musical and technical work they need to undertake in order to achieve their aims.
I recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and Oxford University with First Class Degrees in Flute Performance and Music. Currently, pursuing a career as a professional flautist, I have been a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and National Youth Orchestra, and have won competitions such as the British Flute Society Young Artist prize. I'm now living in Sutton and looking for some more private students in Flute, Piano, and academic Music.
I have 8 years of private instrumental teaching experience and am in the process of completing an LRAM teaching diploma. I am able to travel or teach at home and am willing to teach from beginners to advanced on the Flute, and up to Grade 5 on the Piano. Give me a message if I could be of use to you - I am looking forward to hearing from you!
