My methods of teaching depend on the students' individual needs and levels. I follow the ABRSM guidelines in terms of material but I always tailor my lessons according to the students' preferences. I aim in encouraging my students to engage with the musical material in a fun and enjoyable way, while also working to meet the desired standards for exams.
I am a recent First Class Honours Music Graduate from the University of Aberdeen. I have been teaching piano and music theory since 2017, mostly to young students but I am happy to take students of all ages and levels.

WORK EXPERIENCE
-SEPTEMBER 2017- CURRENT (PART-TIME)
PRIVATE PIANO/MUSIC THEORY TEACHER, SELF-EMPLOYED
Instructing and giving piano and music theory lessons to young individuals, while evaluating their progress and preparing them for examinations. Inspiring them and encouraging them to engage with musical material in a fun and enjoyable way.
I met Anna at university and found her to be a lovely person, very kind and patient. I had some experience with piano but needed help to pick it up again. Anna was excellent at her job and she gave me the confidence and the boost I needed to continue playing. The skills I learned from her are still extremely valuable to me to this day. If you're looking for a piano teacher then look no further, Anna is wonderful.
