I have recently graduated from the University of Nottingham, where piano is my first study. I achieved distinction at grade 8 in 2015 and have myself studied piano with a professional, whose wisdom I am keen to pass on to anyone who wants to learn piano at beginner-intermediate level. I am able to enter students for ABRSM exams: I am particularly familiar with this exam board. I can offer informed instruction about technique, reverting to the basics where necessary, and performance advice. I will also integrate basic theory into my lessons: it is essential for basic understanding. I welcome pupils of any age.
I have been teaching piano for almost a year now and have found that it is something that I really enjoy. I started playing piano when I was 6 and completed all my ABRSM grades by the time I was 17. I've plenty of experience playing in ensembles, and played viola and violin in the Wessex Youth Orchestra for several years, as well as in Purbeck Strings. At the University of Nottingham I have learnt so much about music that I am eager to pass on. My dream is to play piano.

Perfect! Alice was an amazing teacher. She engaged with children really well. She was patient, kind and gave the children the right comments to improve. Soon after she started teaching one of my daughters, they successfully passed their grade 1 exam. Unfortunately she has to move from Nottingham. I wish her successful career in her future.
Really good, she was very friendly and organised.
Alice is a hard-working, passionate teacher, keen to pass on her knowledge to her students. Would highly recommend!
