I am a practitioner of meditation. I have been meditating for a number of years now and this has helped me to cultivate focus and discernment in my craft. As a teacher, this has provided me with greater insight into the psychology of learning where I have developed mindfulness techniques around preparation and delivery of my expertise. We are all each others teachers, and teaching is a conversation. I am passionate about listening to music and promote listening skills as an integral part of the learning journey. Music is comprised of frequency and layers, and this is a brilliant place to start analysing what it is that we like about the music we want to make. I am open and compassionate for all levels of learning, understanding that I was once a beginner, I have developed a wealth of skills and techniques, both practically and mentally that will help you to achieve your goals.
I have experience teaching music production at a college for four years. I am an advanced practitioner of Logic Pro, and I can offer skills and knowledge in mixing, mastering and general songwriting and production. I also have instrumental and theory knowledge to support my craft. I have been playing the guitar for 20 years and I am passionate about songwriting and composition. I have written and composed in many styles of music, ranging from dark and heavy moods, to experimental and minimalist electronic genres. There is a link to my soundcloud available for a preview of my work.

ICT - I am proficient in Microsoft and Mac platforms and have used these professionally throughout my career. I have extensive knowledge of music software applications; Logic Pro, Garage band and various virtual instrument software packages.
In a previous job role, I was a process owner/ technician at GE sensing. I have been responsible for running a product line and leading a small team of 4 people to reach targets on a weekly basis. I had a ‘guru’ title within the company for my role on the 610-calibrator product line. I was responsible for liaising with the planning, shipping and service department. All inquiries about the product were directed to me.
As a course manager at Access Creative in Birmingham, I ran the foundation level 1 and music technology level 3 cohorts. I was responsible for planning, leading and addressing tutor roles within projects. I taught different subjects on every other year group, which required me to liaise with other course managers to form an integral working relationship across the board.
My main hobbies revolve around Music production, studio technology, recording and writing. I consider myself to be a multi-instrumentalist, playing the guitar, bass and drums. In the past I have written music for video. I have 15 years experience performing live in semi-professional bands and touring across the UK. I have been acknowledged as a leader in all of my music collaboration projects, due to my extensive knowledge within songwriting and production.
