I teach different levels of Arabic: beginners, intermediate and advanced individually or in groups. Experienced in GCSE and A level Arabic. In addition to teaching MSA, I teach the Levantine dialect and culture for those who are interested.
I follow a structural approach. The idea is that any language is made up of complex grammar rules. These rules, according to this approach, need to be learnt in a specific order. I also divide my session time, so it includes revision, questions, and homework.
Besides, we could analyse video clips, article, songs, and any other medium. The objective is to make the lessons as interactive as possible to keep you engaged and interested in the language and a proper understanding of the culture. The Arabic language is beautiful, and I’m sure you will love it
Salaam! I’m Kotaiba, Syrian and a native Arabic speaker. I teach formal Arabic (MSA), as well as the Levantine dialect, which is understandable by anyone who speaks Arabic. Experienced in tutoring GCSE, AS and A-Level Arabic.
Whether you would like to improve the four skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) or you would like to focus on some of them, I will be happy to help.
I have been teaching many students from all ages for over five years and have achieved great results with them and helped students to get accepted in highly prestigious universities in London.
Enhanced DBS certified and I'm more than happy to make this available upon request.
Perfect! My class with Kotaiba was what I was looking for. I really enjoyed starting my Arabic classes with him. Although I am a complete beginner he found the right way to capture my attention and make me curious to learn more. I found the class very structured and I do appreciate his enthusiasm and professionalism in delivering it. I am planning to book more classes since I feel motivated to study this fascinating language and having found such a nice and motivational teacher is certainly a plus. I am happy with my choice and can’t wait to achieve my goal of speaking fluent Arabic.
Perfect! great lesson!
Excellent! Very good lessons. Clear and structured with different topics covered that helped me find my feet with a new language.
Kotaiba is a diligent and zealous teacher. My classes with him were never boring and I always look forward for the next one to learn more. He knows how to capture my attention even when I get a bit distracted or not in a good mood to study. Not all the teachers are as keen on their job as Kotaiba. His honesty in dealing with students makes him trustworthy and reliable. He is intuitive on everyone’s capabilities or weak points and tailor his classes accordingly. What I also appreciate is that he cares about my improvement and achievements and that makes me feel rewarded and encouraged from the first class.
Kotaiba is such a wonderful teacher. I had classes with him in London before I moved to the meddle east. He helped me to understand better the language in an easy and efficient way. Kotaiba is friendly, warm, and flexible. He also makes his lessons fun and interesting. I’d highly recommend him for anyone interested in learning Arabic.
I have been learning Arabic with Kotaiba for a few months now and I am thoroughly satisfied with the progress I'm making so far. Arabic, like any new language, requires practice and consistency and everyone will have different aspects of the language that they struggle with. Kotaiba understands what to focus on and prepares an effective study plan that is both practical and convenient for the student. He is flexible with his timing and his teaching style is courteous, professional and intelligible. I have no hesitation in recommending Kotaiba to anyone wishing to learn Arabic.
Kotaiba is a proficient tutor and he makes it easy to understand new concepts. On top of this, he is friendly and flexible with regards to both location and my learning needs. As he is from Syria he also has a lot of knowledge about Syrian culture and language differences between Syria and other Arab countries which is interesting and brings the language to life.
I've know Kotaiba for 18 years. We met in Aleppo when we were 18 and we kept seeing each other from time to time at uni. We reconnected here in the UK.
Kotaiba has a great style to communicate with others and explain his thoughts.
I highly recommend Kotaiba because he's very genuine and has high work ethics. He really puts his heart to what he does.
