I have not given any lessons yet but I cannot wait to start. Depending on the kind of support you need and on your level, I will identify the correct methodology and prepare the lessons accordingly. I am serious in my work but I am planning on making the lessons fun.
I am a native French speaker, I passed my baccalaureat in France and I have been living in the UK for 20 years. I have had different roles mainly in the insurance, the assistance, and French-speaking jobs, speaking to French-speaking customers.
I am French and my mother tongue is French, I have been living in the UK for 20 years.
In my spare time, I enjoy going for long walks in the park, admiring the creation, exercising, swimming, and traveling.
While working for Sodexo, I had been working towards an apprenticeship in Team Leading. This includes Key skill, Application of Number Level 1, Communication Level 2, Technical Certificate in Team Leading Level 2, NVQ Level 2 that includes 6 units in Team Leading which are: Manage your own resources, Provide Leadership for your team, Develop productive working relationships with colleagues, Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety, Resolve customer service problems and Allocate and check work in your team. I also went on some courses: Conflict handling, Manual Handling, Food Safety.
April1997-June 1997: CAE: Certificate of Advanced English (C) at Kingston College, Surrey. I was working as an au-pair in a family in Surbiton - Surrey and I was studying English and learning with the family as well, it was a great experience and I really enjoyed my first time in England and it made me want to come back.
June 1995: Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec, Toulouse, France, I passed my baccalauréat in Economics (C). I studied some other subjects for my baccalauréat which were: German, English, Maths, French, History, and Geography.
October 2019 – April 2020: Coris – London
I have been working as a Foreign Motor Claims Handler; I have been dealing with Green Card and 4th Directive claims involving a foreign third party with the aim to settle the claim. Receiving new notification from our local offices or our clients, setting the new claim, notifying the other party and requesting confirmation of cover, their stance on liability, and our client’s instructions.
May 2015 – Present: Axa Assistance- Redhill
I was a Claims handler for EU Claims in the Finance department as a secondment. We liaised with our clients with regards to Third Party Claims with foreign vehicles; we received new claims from either our clients or our foreign office, we forwarded the client’s instructions to our foreign offices who then informed the Third-party Insurer. We also prepared invoices, letters, and documentary evidence for the payment run and to send it to our clients.
Previous to dealing with EU claims, I had been dealing with claims for CarTrawler for one year, customers would log their claim online and we would check the details and the documents, requesting further documents, settling claims, answering the phone, and queries by email.
I was also working as a claims handler, assisting customers who had broken down abroad; and also dealing with home emergency claims. We answered calls from policyholders and providers, liaise with foreign providers (mostly in French), other Axa offices to organise assistance while updating customers throughout the claim and being cost-effective and checking policies.
November 2012- May 2015: Allianz Global Assistance- Croydon
I was working for the MasterCard department as a French Customer Service Advisor, answering calls from English and French Cardholders and banks, directing their call to the right department, or providing assistance with lost cards or with other Emergency Services:(Emergency Card and Emergency Cash) when traveling. We also liaised with Financial Institutions, Service Providers (Western Union, Concierge, Axa, Embossing sites,..). I was working in a paperless environment for data protection as we were handling sensitive information (card numbers). I was also in charge of cases making sure that they were being managed properly and in a timely manner.
May 2012-October 2012: Axa Assistance- Redhill
I was on a temporary contract as a customer service advisor on the International motor department. I helped customers who had broken down abroad, deploying assistance, and helping customers with translation by keeping in touch with garages abroad, helping them finish their journey either by renting a car or booking hotels while being cost-efficient and checking policies and entitlements.
February 2012- May 2012: Fusion appointments- Dorking
I was working as a temporary catering assistant and as a waitress in different places.
April 2008- January 2012: Sodexo @ Toyota Epsom Surrey
I was working as a Coffee Bar supervisor; I was in charge of 4 other staff. My main duties were: training and coaching staff, allocating and checking their work, motivating my team, giving them feedback about their work, dealing with problems either from staff or customers. I ensured that customers received a great service, that all duties were done. I made the weekly rota about duties, I organised coffee and lunch breaks; I also placed orders, and did the stocktake. I also had regular meetings with the manager to inform her of any issues, staff performance, or requests. I also worked alongside my team, making Costa Coffee drinks, making sure the drinks were made up to Costa standards, serving customers, opening or closing the Coffee Bar.
December 2003-January 2008: Hotel Formule 1 Toulouse (France)
I was working as a receptionist where I was multitasking, I was answering the phone, taking bookings, describing the rooms, I also checked customers in, taking the right payment. At the same time, I served breakfast, checked the cleanliness of the rooms and sometimes even cleaned some rooms and doing a handover at the end of my shift.
June 1999-August 2003: Garfunkel’s Restaurant London Paddington
I was working as a waitress. I actually worked in many branches of Garfunkel’s but the main one was in Paddington. I was taking customers' orders and up-selling, delivering food and drinks, checking back that they were enjoying their meal or if they needed anything else, taking payment. Then clearing tables and getting them ready for the next customers, I also helped training new staff.
