Native german speaker and current student at the university of Edinburgh offering lessons in German (anywhere from beginner to advanced), German translation, written and oral comprehension and accent
Methodology
My teaching approach is learning by doing. As a native german speaker I was only able to learn English through constantly practicing and speaking. That’s why I believe in a hands on approach rather than only focusing on theoretical approach.
During my lessons you can expect to mainly practice through handouts and exercises while simultaneously building up your vocabulary and grammar to be able to hold a conversation.
Experience
I moved to England in 2015 and after finishing Highschool I am currently studying at the university of Edinburgh.
I am fluent in both German and English and finished Highschool as the best student of the year with over 90% in all my subjects.
I have been a tutor, prefect and peer mentor both in school and privately.

Ylva is an amazing tutor, who I highly recommend. She has done an amazing job at teaching me the basics of German and is perfectly fluent in both German and English, which is amazing to help with German. She is extremely friendly and talkative, and conversation flows very easily.
