Methodology

With a first exploratory meeting we will discuss your goals and preferences, while getting to know each other. Then we will find a customised structure for our lessons and we get started!

 The lessons generally include conversation and activities focussed on grammar and vocabulary.

I believe that practicing conversation is the most powerful tool to improve your speaking and grammar skills, while learning idiomatic expressions and gaining an insight of the language whatever your current level. Conversational topics will be always engaging and generally tailored by students’ interests. But I can also take you through the common places about Italy, food and southern culture, how it looks like to live in Rome and how to experience Italy like a local.

Through the listening and reading sessions you will practice pronunciation, understanding and translation skills. Writing and grammar activities, with a vocabulary tailored to your interests, will be done together; but I’ll be always available outside class hours to discuss any queries you might have at your leisure.

For children to learn Italian as foreign language, my lessons offers a focus on activities to do together, based on learning the alphabet and getting an insight of basic skills. Children will be encouraged to familiarise themselves with Italian in an easy way. Integrating colours, poems, images and fairy tales to learn the Italian language, they will also learn about other subjects which are interesting to experience. They will be given worksheets from my books and they will be guided with the grammar activities, reading and writing exercises to practice what they have learnt.

Experience

Ciao! Mi chiamo Ludovica I’m an art student and practicing artist born and raised in Calabria, South Italy. During the last six years I’ve been living between Rome and different European Capitals, in the Balkans, Spain, Portugal and Belgium. At the moment I'm in London for a full-time MA in Fine Arts at ual.

I'm interested in critical studies, performance and visual arts. My research is also inspired by alternative education systems and experimental methodologies.

I’m a very friendly, patient and understanding person. I've a good heart and lot of enthusiasm.
While doing my BA in Rome I have been teaching Italian to some non native students and to children, offering a service of babysitting and teaching Italian. I have a perfect command of the language, accurate, fluent and with complete understanding. I have also an excellent diction, so that you can learn a perfect pronunciation :- ) ..even tho I can also introduce you to the three dialects that I'm able to speak!
