I give lessons to GCSE or A-level students that wish to improve their understanding of chemistry. My approach to teaching is practice-based and it provides intuitive understanding required to tackle different problems. The lessons would involve a theoretical introduction to needed chemistry topics, followed by an interactive guide for problem-solving. Students would be free to ask questions at any particular point of the lesson.
I am a 1st-year undergraduate Natural Sciences student at UCL. Over the last 2 years, I have informally taught chemistry to around 30 of my peers and I have reveived very positive feedback.
Prior to my studies, I have attended extracurricullar chemistry classes and participated in high-level chemistry competitions. I have received bronze medal awards in the 50th and the 51st International Chemistry Olympiads, as well as a bronze medal in the 53rd International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad. After graduating high school last year, I was also a problem author in the 7th Baltic Chemistry Competition. These experiences helped me construct a broad understanding of chemistry and I would love to share the insight with students that might struggle in some areas of the subject. The beauty of chemistry is that it tells us how the matter of our surrounding world interacts. By combining knowledge, hard work, creativity and intuition, I believe that anyone can excel at this subject.
