I suffered from late-onset cystic acne for over 10 years (between 19-30 years old) at its worst I was getting around 10 new blemishes/spots per day.
There is not much that I didn’t try;

-Multiple damaging chemical pharmaceutical pills prescribed on the NHS; Antibiotics (Doxycycline, Minocycline, Erythromycin, Trimethroprim, Cotrimoxazole), Roaacutane, Isotretinoin, Clindamycin) Topical Creams, Gels and Lotions (RetinA, Adapalene, Tazarotene, Differing, PanOxyl, Benzoyl Peroxide).
-Private dermatological consultations; Specialist Facials, Intensive Laser treatments, Glycol acid skin peels. :(
-Multiple detoxes and specialist diets.
I am highly attuned and sensitive to how incredibly painful and debilitating it can be. I was depressed, lonely and isolated, losing practically a decade of my life to this awful condition.
I am now 5 years free of acne, when at times it felt I never would be. I am so incredibly happy with the condition of my skin, it is incredibly rare for me to even get one pimple, my skin is smooth and soft and most of my scars have healed.
I sometimes come across people out in public suffering from the condition and I wish I could just help them, but it is so hard to approach them as I know exactly how it felt.
I now believe it is important that I share my experience. I feel if I can get through this I can help anyone to do the same.
During the first class, we will be able to focus on your specific issues, experiences, expectations, as well as your skincare regime and eating habits, covering any questions or concerns you may have.
I would then be able to sensitively and personally curate a simple, effective and affordable natural skincare plan with 100% natural cleansers and skin creams as well as a personal holistic nutrition and exercise plan to heal, your body, your immune system and your skin.
I would propose regular follow-up sessions to bond with students and build trust, to regularly mentor you as you progress and provide emotional support for as long as you need.
I work full-time as an architect during the week in Manchester, so weekends are best to have a fully engaged class. We can arrange to meet in person or conduct classes over Skype.
I am an interdisciplinary artist, designer, practising chartered architect and architecture tutor. I have been totally obsessed with food and cooking since I was born and have a background in sports science and nutrition. I believe in the importance of travel and have been lucky enough to visit over 60 countries. I love to work out in community bootcamps! I also brew craft cider, mead, kefir, kombucha and keep bees, producing honey on an allotment in Lancashire. ))
