PERSONAL STATEMENT
Self-driven, ambitious and passionate 2nd year Neuroscience PhD researcher working in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine at the University of Manchester. 2 years’ experience as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Manchester teaching and marking exams and coursework of undergraduate students. Passion for advancing student academic process and helping student achieve their full potential. Wanting to use my extensive knowledge in science to tutor Biology to GCSE and A-level students.

 Teaching, demonstrating and marking undergraduate students.
 Active role alongside senior academics in ensuring fair moderation of undergraduate assessment.

OTHER SKILLS AND INTERESTS

Outreach- Created an online lecture for the University of Manchester Minute Lecture series describing the unique techniques used during my MSci project. Contributed to the organization, preparation and running of a science stall at the Science Spectacular public outreach event, aimed at engaging with the public to educate them in current research.

Communication- Invited speaker to international conferences. Well-being representative for the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry.

Driving License- Full clean driving license.

Interests- Enjoy playing competitive sport including; football, rugby, cricket and powerlifting.
