I define myself as a Teacher-Guide as opposed to a Teacher-Lecturer. Essentially, I ensure that my lessons involve adequate discussion time as well as the processing of new information. I maintain the use of plenaries to recap learning and ensure that I don't risk overloading students with excessive amounts of information.
I additionally enjoy using different resources to aid English learning, whether these are writing-tasks to more emphasis on comprehension and modelling 'Exemplar Answers'
I am a recently qualified English Teacher, I previously gained a BA Hons in English and Film Studies from the University of Exeter in 2016 and have worked in retail and customer service.
