My name is Bandana and I'm a sixth form student. I'm doing my A levels. I would like to teach GCSE subjects such as Maths, Italian, Sport Science to students that need help or struggle with these subjects. Students find Maths one the most difficult subjects. Usually students hate numbers and this leads them to hate Maths as well as the teacher. Hating the teacher makes them least interested in the subject, which then becomes the reason behind poor results. A fact is that students understand a subject easily when a friend or classmate teaches them. I want to be that friend. My friendly character will make them love the subject.
I don't have teaching experience, however I did my work experience as an assistant teacher. Even without a degree, a friend teaches more than a teacher sometimes.
I've given a few lessons to some students for Maths. GCSE Maths is my strongest area. Primary School Maths is also my area.
Italian, Punjabi and Hindi are my mother tongues, so I can teach these as well.
I'm a badminton player and a cricketer. I have great knowledge of these two sports and Physical Education.

I’m an extremely hardworking person. I love to work with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I easily become part of their life, as I have a friendly nature and excellent sense of humour.
As a student, I love books and studies. I like to complete difficult and challenging tasks given by my teachers. I have a nice and friendly relation with all my teachers and friends.
I don’t like to be late so I’m very punctual with time, which can be for a school lesson, an appointment or anything else.
I completed my Year 11 in Italy after which I moved to London. In the Year 8’s State Exam I got 8/10 in average (Italian 9/10; English 9/10; French 8/10; Oral Exam 8/10). I am currently doing my A Levels in UK. I’m also doing my English GCSE as I didn’t have it before due to the fact that I moved to this Country.
My expected grades are
• GCSE English: C
• BTEC Sport Science (Level 3): Distinction
• A level Maths: B
• A level Italian: A
Last year I did my one week work experience in a school, from 27th June to 1st July. I worked as a school assistant in Stanhope Primary School, Greenford.
I helped teachers in preparing lessons and activities and also taught basic English and Maths to children. This year I did work experience at my school, Harlington School (Hayes), in our P.E. department.
Key I.T. skills
As a Sixth Form student I’m used to work with electronic devices. More than a half of our coursework is done on computers so I find easy to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc… My social network skills are also good.
I’m extremely talented at applying Henna/Mehendi. I learnt it individually. In my spare time I like to watch dance reality shows, as I’m a dancer. I learnt dance individually and I’m good at dance forms such as Bollywood, Punjabi Folk dance, Locking-Popping and freestyle.
As I’m a Sport Science student I have huge interest in watching and playing sport. I watch sports such as cricket, rugby, badminton, tennis, table tennis and athletics. I play cricket in my free time: I’m a good batter and a slow bowler.
I’m a sketcher: I draw black and white and colour pencil sketches. Sometimes I also read books, about Astronomy, History and lastly I’m a fan fiction writer.
As per languages, I speak fluent English, Italian, Punjabi (my mother tongue) and Hindi.
