My teaching methods are very hands on as when learning new art techniques especially, practice is key. Creating great art is also all about exploration of different materials and methods, I usually begin lessons with a short tutorial (depending on the age of the student). For GCSE and Alevel students, I will usually assist them with the tasks they already have at hand, whether that be research or practical work, as to achieve a good grade it’s required to have a high level of analysis within projects. In addition, assistance with project ideas and sketchbook layouts etc. For younger children, I start off with the basics of observational pencil studies, shading and proportion, and basic paint techniques. Most importantly for all students it is important that they find enjoyment when creating their art, growing a passion. stimulating their minds to get creative!!
I am a student studying first year illustration, at degree level, at The University of the Arts London, and a small art and design based business owner. I have been giving art lessons to younger and older students for the last 3 years.
