My teaching method is particularly targeted at helping students do well in the English-curriculum exams. I have gone through all of these exams with good results and understand what an examiner looks for. To that end, there is a lot of focus on exam technique, past paper questions and working on information recall.
I am currently in my last year of secondary school, with an offer to read history at Oxford this autumn. I have been tutoring for 4 years now, mainly helping students with 11+, GCSE and, more recently, A-level studies. I ran a homework club for 2 years at Hammersmith library focussed on helping recent immigrants integrate more easily and become more comfortable with English. As a result, I have quite a portfolio of experience. At the moment I tutor in the 4 subjects I am taking at A-level (French, German, History and Philosophy) - for which I was predicted 4 A*s .
