I am a trained Opera singer and singing teacher with a particular interest in vocal technique who tutors across London. If you are interested in having a lesson that is both enjoyable and informative; do get in touch for more information.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Honours degree from the Royal Northern College of Music where I studied with David Maxwell Anderson, and gained a Postgraduate Diploma from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where I was a Kathleen Robert’s scholar and studied with Joan Rodgers.
I have been fortunate to study with such teachers as Yvonne Kenny and Tim Evans Jones. I spent time living in Berlin and most recently New York City where I studied with the renowned, Arthur Levy. I currently study with Jack LiVigni who has had a major effect on my voice and how I teach.
- Where do you teach?
I only teach in students' homes and will travel to surrounding areas including:
- When are you available?
I am available to teach during the week and at the weekend.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages and abilites are more than welcome.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
As well as teaching ABRSM and Trinity College London I can also prepare students for conservatoire auditions, Oxbridge choral scholarship auditions and university auditions.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have performed as a professional baritone before changing voice types and performing as a tenor. This has put me in a unique position to help those who are struggling to decide where their voice lies.
I have a strong interest in vocal technique and have travelled to Germany, Norway and America to gain different insights from some of the most respected voice teachers around.
I have taught in schools and music centres across Manchester and London for over 7 years. Since teaching in schools I have established a busy private teaching studio.
