Firstly, I find out about the topic and exam board the student is struggling with beforehand - so the teaching is specific to the student and as similar as possible to school teaching.
During lessons I will use a large whiteboard to go through techniques and practise questions clearly on-screen.
After lessons I can draw up, scan and send 'cheat sheets' to help students have a recap on the lesson and use independently.
