Philosophy is a subject like no other, requiring analytical thought and strong essay writing skills. Lessons would be largely discussion based; talking through the topics and arguments in question, evaluating arguments and proposing counterarguments, and I would also mark written work and help students improve their essay skills, since philosophy essays are vastly different to other styles.
While taking A Level philosophy I ran a tutoring system for AS students and retakers to supplement their lessons and improve their work. One on one philosophy allows for much more attention to detail and growth of argument and skills.

In Philosophy A Level I scored 98%, and won my sixth form's Philosophy prize. Next year I will be studying Classics with an emphasis on Philosophy (both ancient and modern) at Queen's College Oxford and am currently on a gap year.
