I am available to tutor pupils preparing for GCSE/A Levels in English Language and Literature, as well as ESOL/EFL. With a strong background in Speech and Drama and a keen interest in poetry, I am particularly focused upon spoken expression and comprehension, whilst my study of the subject to degree level and editorship of a satirical magazine mean that I have a strong eye for detail in terms of written work.
The content and order of my lessons tend to be planned in advance, after an initial consultation with the student; after this point, however, this provisional running order is relatively flexible depending on their week-to-week academic demands.
I am entering my third year of BA English Language and Literature at Oxford, and am absolutely in love with the subject! Last summer, I tutored six separate classes in English as a Foreign Language in four locations across China, and also as a summer school leader in Oxford, building on a tuition habit begun as a Literacy Mentor whilst in Lower 6th!
