Methodology
Would you like to improve your communication skills, think more creatively and write more effectively whilst learning more about British culture and current affairs?
I am a humanities student at a leading university with experience tutoring under-18s, giving effective advice for secondary school entrance exams as well as Oxbridge interviews and UCAS personal statements. I am particularly keen to work with young people whose first language is not English, helping them with their confidence in spoken and colloquial language.
Experience
- I have been tutoring in basic literacy, English, Classics, Latin, and, more recently, offering Oxbridge interview preparation and UCAS personal statement guidance to a range of pupils from ages 8-20.
- I also have experience working with people with special needs, as my brother has autism.
- Many of my students are working towards e.g. university or secondary school entrance, and all have been satisfied with their outcomes.
- My aim when teaching is to work with my students to think of more effective ways of thinking, helping to encourage their sense of curiosity and motivation.
