Passionate and Dedicated Tutor for Spanish offering classes in Edinburgh New Town
Methodology
I encourage my younger students to associate language learning with having fun, by focusing on games and activities.
For my older students, I organise exercises, role-plays and assessments to keep the language alive, relevant and interesting. My aim is to ensure that my students communicate with confidence, with the ability to use language creatively but also with precision.
Experience
I have an MA from University of Edinburgh in Hispanic Studies and Linguistics, and I have lived and worked in Spain for over two years. I teach all ages from beginner levels to intermediate/Advanced Highers.
I use a range of resources, closely following the specified syllabus to provide a tailor-made service, with the aim of not only achieving understanding but of developing the ability of the student to put that understanding into practice. Always keeping the bigger picture in mind, I want my students to develop their linguistic skills through growing confidence and cultural awareness.
