I have given lessons to a multitude of different ages, ranging from 4 to 18. I take a very hands on approach to lessons, showing that learning and working hard doesn't have to be boring. While I stick to certain more traditional teaching methods such as sit down lessons going over and teaching work from the curriculum, I also like to encourage students to discuss things other than what they have to learn in order for them to appreciate and become more comfortable with Spanish; I have found that debates are the best way to engage students. By using it outside of 'what they have to learn for the exam', it means they become more fluent and will have a greater understanding of Spanish, which in turn helps with their exams.
I am a 24 year old Argentinian, Welsh woman who has recently graduated with an MA in International Relations from the University. I also hold a BA for Spanish, Italian and European Studies from the University of Bath. I have experience teaching and love to pass on my passion for the Spanish language and culture. I was born and raised in Cyprus and moved to England in 2013 and moved to Northern Ireland in September 2018. I love to travel and have been involved in many extracurricular activities both at school and at University. I am not one to shy away from a challenge and love engaging students and helping them develop and love and passion for the Spanish language, just as my mother did with me. I come from a very teacher dominated background, both my parents are educators as were my grandparents and even great-grandparents and thus not only feel that teaching is my calling but I believe education is the most important commodity, this passion inspires me to work my hardest and to ensure that everyone receives the necessary tools to excel in their chosen subject.
I can work after 6pm on weekdays and any time on weekends.
