Passionate A-level English Lit student who offers help with the newly reformed GCSE's.
Methodology
My main 3 areas I would focus on would be:
> understanding the content
> remembering it
> practising exam technique.
GCSE's are becoming very content-heavy, however it isn't just about memorisation via repetition and repetition. Understanding what you have learned goes a long way to achieve success and simply regurgitating the facts won't cut it. Rather, understanding how to structure your writing is becoming imperative.

Experience
I am currently in my first year of A-levels who wishes to offer help to English Literature/Language students currently studying their GCSEs.
No doubt that the newly reformed GCSE's (9-1 system) are tough, however with the right support and dedication excellence can be achieved. Having effectively been one of the "guinea pigs" with the new exams, I feel that I know what works and have witnessed first-hand the trials and tribulations that individuals have faced in implementing these qualifications.
Thanks to the amazing support I received from my teachers, I managed to achieve an 9 (A**) in English Literature and predicted an A+ in my A-levels so hopefully this proves that these sorts of exams aren't impossible (as even I could do them)!
