Evening sessions only Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Saturday all day. I am an ex-performing arts student who is trained up to A-levels. I would love your child to come full of enthusiasm and a burning desire to learn more about theatre and what sort of actor they are!
Lesson structures will vary on a lesson by lesson basis and can be fully structured around what your child needs and wants to explore. I would more than likely begin with a warm up game followed by a more structured look into what area of theatre, type of theatre or script they need to learn. I would ask that your child provides me with some idea of what they need to learn each lesson. If they simply want to work on vocal expression, I can then provide the material. But if they have a script or song they need to learn, they would need to bring that with them.
Every lesson, I will ensure to be attentive to what you and your child or young person wants to learn. I will ensure to be supportive through any tough moments and try to gain an understanding of how well I'm doing and whether I need to alter my tutoring for the following session. I am an outgoing person who thrives on success, however small.
I have been acting since a very young age and have grown up having a distinct love for theatre. My key areas of expertise lie in:
- Musical Theatre
- Expressive Monologues
- Comedy Sketches
Theatre Background info:
Since the age of 8 I have been performing and wanting to express my love for theatre. I spent my high school years in drama clubs inside and out of school. I also performed throughout my high school career. When I reached A-levels, I took a Level 3 National Subsidiary Diploma in Performing Arts. I came out at the end of the two years- having performed in a few main (lead) roles- with a distinction *. I then continued to explore my love for theatre by joining an amateur theatre group whilst at university. This was Queensbridge Musical Theatre Company and I performed in their production of 'Oliver'.
Having trained as a primary school teacher, I have teaching experience and have been thinking about tutoring for a while now and would love to tutor your child. All I would need is an idea of what your child would like to improve in his/her acting knowledge. I am able to explore any area of theatre so feel free to join me on the first session to discuss with me.
If you wish to receive lessons longer than 1 hour per session, this is very much acceptable.
