I have a very patient style. I love teaching. I find it massively satisfying to watch people making progress. I have have had a great experience in teaching children to play sports. I have taught badminton, martial arts and I am currently teaching a close friend of mine how to box. From experience, I have found that teaching and indeed learning are dependant on three things.
Firstly, a patient tutor is essential. Thomas Edison, (the man who invented the light-bulb amongst many other things) said of success, "I failed my way to success." Failure can be frustrating for both pupil and tutor, but with patience and persistence, any problem can be solved.
Persistence as mentioned above, is the only skill. I promise good grades to my pupils because I will not settle to see failure where success is possible. By persistently working at the problem, the only outcome can be success.
Thirdly, fun is absolutely essential to learning. Fun invests the pupil in the lesson. Fun fuels enthusiasm and brings life to what may otherwise have seemed dull and uninteresting. Fun is also a distraction from the pressure of taking new challenges.
My aim is bring all of my pupils to reach their maximum potential. After the first session of tutoring, I will make an informed estimate on what is required bring my pupil up to A grade performance. With the collaboration of my pupil and their parents/carers I will then propose a plan on how to help the child reach their maximum potential. I have supreme confidence in my teaching methodology. Helping my pupils reach their full potential matters to me deeply.
I am a Creative Writing student at Leeds Beckett University. I am very passionate about learning and would love the opportunity to extend my services to more people. As well as studying on my course, I am President of the Creative Society at Leeds Beckett. I advocate creativity. In July 2019 I founded a social enterprise called 'IMAGINE UNIVERSITY CIC'. Our social mission is to promote art and artists in Leeds and surrounding areas.

In June 2017, I launched a Jamaican food delivery service in Luxembourg. In conjunction
with 'Superfoods', and 'Group Lunch', we set up 'Constant Spring'. Under ‘Constant Spring’
we began to offer Jamaican food for delivery in Luxembourg. We rented a kitchen which
we used to prepare and package the food early in the morning. What’s more, the food had
to be ready for delivery before 12pm. Fortunately, I had already familiarised myself with the
pressures of the business by catering for my basketball team prior to launching ‘Constant
Spring’. This venture into self employment greatly enhanced my organisational skills and
my capacity to work under pressure. In addition, the importance of networking was also a
very pronounced theme throughout this venture. I learned to harness the power of
collaboration and teamwork and was able to benefit directly.
