It's not about ability, it's about hard work; believe in yourself, don't give up and you will succeed. There's plenty of room at the top!
- What kind of experience do you have?
I worked for 8 years in comprehensive schools in London and Sussex, followed by 9 years in an independent school in Sussex, followed by 6 years as a supply teacher and private tutor in Sussex (also working as an examiner for AQA, Edexcel, IB and CIE while my children were very young), followed by a year in a comprehensive school in Brighton, and concluding with 8 years in an independent school in Surrey. I relocated to Merseyside In September 2015 and am currently an Assistant Examiner for Cambridge Assessment on the panels for International Additional Maths O Level and A Level.

I am originally from Liverpool but left to go to university to study Mathematics in London, where I also trained to be a teacher. After a long career "down South", latterly as Induction Tutor to a dozen newly qualified teachers, I have returned to the North West to continue with my passion: teaching Maths!
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I was a member of the Mathematical Association for many years and have recently joined the Liverpool Mathematical Society. I am also a member of the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL).
