Each of my lessons are meticulously planned out to meet the needs of the pupils in front of me. Their strengths, their areas for improvement and their preferences. Each lesson would include a starter, to wake the pupils up and encourage them towards a more science-based way of thinking for the lesson. This would be followed by a main activity, depending on the pupils could be a lengthy discussion, group work, constructing models etc. And finally the lesson would be wrapped up to solidify the information.
I am a postgraduate student in the education department at the university of Strathclyde. I have taught classes for approximately two months in total as part of that course. Before that, I graduated from Glasgow University in Physics. Aside from this, I volunteer weekly at the 178th Scout Troop and have been doing so since February.
