A pharmacy student offering science based tuition in and around the Reading area

Methodology

I give lessons up to GCSE level. My approach is finding the topic the student struggles most on and breaking it down slowly. I believe that the lesson structures should be fun and colourful as this makes learning easier and more likely to stick!

Experience

I am a student at the University of Reading, where I am currently studying a Masters Degree in Pharmacy. I have worked alongside many science students as I have previously done some volunteer work running an after school science club.

COMMUNICATION

I have worked in a variety of different settings which have allowed me to develop a range of different communication skills. I have worked alongside kids, vulnerable adults and the elderly which has helped me to gain good listening skills, non-verbal communication skills, friendliness, confidence, empathy, respect, positivity and cooperation.

I have also participated in Dialectical Behavior Therapy which has taught me skills such as mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation and distress tolerance.

LEADERSHIP

I previously ran a science club for younger students and participated in the National Citizens Service, where I took charge over 12 young people. This allowed me to develop leadership skills such as: motivation skills, team-building, trustworthiness, creativity and responsibility.
