Teaching methods are mainly problem based - practice makes perfect after all. However, I am happy to make some lessons to aid understanding prior to working through task-based problems. The latter part will comprise of me helping the students work through questions I set (or they have been set by their teachers etc.) with increasing independence placed on the student to improve their knowledge and understanding.
I am a PhD Chemistry student with a background in Medicinal Chemistry (BSc Hons - 2.1) and Biochemical Engineering (MSc - Distinction). I worked in industry as an R&D engineer prior to starting my PhD. I have experience in tutoring undergraduate workshops and lab demonstrations across a series of core areas in chemistry and biology.
I am friendly and approachable, and myself have struggled with some of the subject aspects previously, and so I am very patient and understanding when it comes to trying to teach in return.
