Currently a 3rd year PhD researcher in the field of environmental catalytic pollution control technology (de-NOx Nitric oxide gases and Methane catalytic converters for Diesel-Natural gas engines) at Belfast (QUB). I completed my GCSEs (2007) and A levels (2009) at Verulam state School in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. I am a patient, empathetic and understanding tutor who will tailor the session to meet the needs of the student. I follow a question-learning approach, where the main focus is to use exam-style questions as practice and to identify areas for improvement. I generally run my lessons by having an introductory 5-minute fun ice-breaker activity (e.g. mini-quiz or quick puzzle or real-world applications), then the focus (40 minutes) of the lesson on the student's school homework or current topic being studied at school and then I close off by setting new questions (15 minutes) to see if the knowledge has been digested. I have a flexible approach to tutoring and the student is encouraged to stop me at anytime if they need me to go over a particular concept one more time.
Tutored 7 students in the past and managed to improve the grades from C/D to B/A at GCSE level (Maths). The students felt more encouraged and confident to move from foundation tier maths to Higher Maths. I have a BEng (2012) and MSc 'Refinery Design and Operation' (2014) in the field of Chemical Engineering from The University of Manchester. I was a teaching assistant for Thermodynamics (elements of Maths and Physics) at QUB in Oct-Dec 2015 and Oct-Dec 2016. I was also a TA for Mass transfer in March 2016 and March 2017. I enjoyed simplifying complex concepts to students and relating it to day-to-day examples. I try to identify the methodology used during questions and suggest alternative methodologies to my students rather than giving the right answer straightaway.

Excellent! Very professional, well organized tutor. I required specific help answering exam style questions. The theory was covered first then we went through exam problems! I passed all necessary exams with flying colours. Highly recommend.
Mohamed has patience and tolerance , treats students in a friendly manner and provides his students with all the support they need.
I have known Mohammad for many years, since he's undergraduate years till his PhD which he's now pursuing. Not only is Mohammad very knowledgeable in mathematics and masters the subject, he also helps his students in developing their problem solving skills. Indeed, mathematics is not just about knowing the theorems and corollaries, but more importantly how to apply them, which is a skill that comes with practice, something that Mohammad will help you develop from his years of practice.
In addition he's a pleasant and patient person, traits that are important for any educator.
He’s very knowledgeable and helpful.
