About the lesson
Hello, here is my methodology for the classes. My teaching method is based on the one used in universities, that is, apply the theory seen by the teacher during the lectures through exercises and by promoting the understanding of the subject (why? how? what is the use? the interpretation, etc.), which will allow the student to better understand and therefore better remember. I base my courses on the content of the teacher and add my experience as an assistant in statistics and my expertise when necessary. In addition, I take into account questions and remarks from the student to adapt the course to the problems encountered. This method of teaching is therefore particularly useful for university students. NB: I only teach in Louvain-la-Neuve.
Regarding the help with the statistical part of your thesis or homework, note that I only work with the statistical program R (RStudio), so please do not contact me if you need help for manipulations on SPSS, SAS or others (it is nevertheless possible if you only have to interpret the results and outputs of these programs). In general, I gather information about the context, the problem, the research questions, the needs and expectations of the student and supervisor to then help and guide the student in the statistical or methodological part of his / her thesis. This very often involves a first appointment to discuss in more detail in order to understand the issues and expectations, and then follow up until the completion of the statistical part of the thesis, giving all the necessary explanations and answering questions that the student might ask along the way.
Being used to give trainings and to do works, projects and theses on R, it is also possible for me to give courses or trainings on RStudio to students or workers who need to deepen (or discover) this statistical program.
Whether you request my help for a class or the statistical part of your thesis, please give as much information as possible (title and course code, the content, program and year of study, what is your thesis about, what analyses you would need, etc.) so that I can best assess whether I can help you or not. Thank you in advance !

After a master's degree in economics at KU Leuven and a master's degree in econometrics at Maastricht University, I am currently a PhD student and teaching assistant in statistics at UCLouvain. As a teaching assistant, I teach 6 courses on statistics and probability per academic year in different faculties, at the bachelor and master level and I also supervise master's students in their theses. In addition, I offer my services as a private teacher in statistics and probability for several years, and this for a large number of students from different backgrounds. With my experience in education at university level, I will help you with pleasure and professionally for all your classes, homework, theses, projects, etc. in statistics, probability and statistical programming (RStudio). I invite you to visit my profile where you will find more information about me but also practical information such as my rates and recommendations from other students or parents. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or remarks.
