I am currently studying for my PhD in Psychological Medicine. I graduated last year with a First Class Pharmacology degree from Newcastle University and have experience working in a variety of laboratories. I received 11 A*s in my GCSEs and 2 A*s (Maths, Chemistry) and 3 As (Biology, Psychology, French) in my A-levels.
I therefore feel I can teach children up to A-level or interested adults in Biology, Psychology, Chemistry or Medical Sciences. I have a patient manner when teaching and am able to break down complex scientific concepts to suit the understanding of those from varying knowledge levels.
I have experience tutoring peers and mentoring students at all levels of education. I have recently tutored two GCSE students in all 3 sciences, with one showing improvement from D/Es to A* in recent mock papers in just a few months.
I was also able to tutor my brother to succeed in the 11+ exams. I really look forward to getting further experience in tutoring and inspiring learners in the field of science.
Rates are £25/hour for GCSE, £30 for A-level. On top of this, if I am travelling to student's house, I charge £5 per session for travel.
