My name is Mike and I am a PhD student on a Wellcome Trust funded project at the University of Bristol. I completed my undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences, with a specialism in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge in 2012. Since then, I have achieved two further Masters degrees in Molecular Biology, both from the University of Cambridge. During my PhD I have acted as a supervisor and taught undergraduate students the basics of cell biology, genetics and molecular biology. Overall, this has amounted to three years of small group teaching experience. I take a pro-active and fun approach to teaching helped by my passion for science!
I have three years experience with small group teaching at the University of Cambridge covering subjects in cell biology, genetics and molecular biology. I have three years experience in laboratory teaching and practical skills. I have also taken part in many outreach and "science residential" programmes as part of the University of Cambridge.
Michael tutored me throughout an entire year and he helped me immensely. He has a very efficient way of explaining anything you may ask him, meaning a session with him is always very productive. Overall, his friendly attitude and welcoming demeanor culminate to form an wholly excellent tutor.
