Phil has been supporting my son with A2 Politics, and things seem to be going really well. The lessons are well prepared, and Phil seems to be making a real difference. He needs an A in the summer, so I will update once his results are in. He does seem to be enjoying the sessions though, and we are all hopeful that the intensive 90 min sessions are going to make all the difference. Thank you, Phil!
Philip's help was invaluable. His feedback on my work allowed me critique myself so that I could in turn improve my writing style. As well as this, his insight into what the examiner's were really looking for, gave me the ability to fine tune the content of my writing. With Philip's help, I was able to achieve A*s in both my English Language GCSE and English Literature GCSE, and I know that his guidance played a vital part in helping me to attain these grades.
I was happy with my result, getting ABC, getting the C in government and politics. This allowed me to get my first offer of university which I was pleased about.
Thank you for all your help.
Thank you so much for all your help and supporting me to achieve an A. You were really well organised for every single lesson even though I generally left you with only a few hours to prepare. I really enjoyed all our sessions and learnt a lot.
Thank you so much, Anna
Dear Mr Kimberley,
Just a few words to say thank you so much for your support for Anna on her History GCSE. When her regular teacher at school left to be followed by a series of indifferent supply staff we were really anxious. Fortunately, we found you in time and your knowledge, efficiency and enthusiasm really helped turn things around. Anna enjoyed every session she had with you and the outcome was worth every penny. I hope you are still available if we need help again!
Phil has worked with Rachael on exam questions and marking past papers. This has involved going through and planning answers and then going through the responses and evaluating the answer using the mark scheme. That aim was to get an A* which Rachael did achieve. Phil was helpful, positive and encouraging and I would recommend him to other tutees.
Going into his 2 papers his had already improved his results from a D in his mock to achieving A's in the past papers. Our son recently received his formal GCSE marks and achieved A* on both papers (with 91% & 96% respectively). He is delighted with his results, and is very grateful to Phil for his help and support.
