I tutored 1:1 GCSE maths and science whilst I was studying for my A levels in Exmouth. I am willing to tutor any level in most subjects. I believe I have a calm and patient approach to tutoring, as people learn in different ways which should always be acknowledged. I like to search for the best way for the student to understand a concept, otherwise it does not help them reach their potential. I have experienced bad teachers at school and college and understand what a difference method of explanation can make.
I have recently graduated University and am currently in a research role near Weymouth. I graduated from Swansea University with a BSc Physics 2.1. I studied physics AS/A levels, maths AS/A levels, chemistry AS/A levels and biology AS level in Exmouth. I also studied the optional GCSEs drama, French and P.E as well as the compulsory GCSEs in which I was graded A's and A*'s for all.
Am happy to travel up to 10 miles

BSc Physics at Swansea University 2.1 (obtained in July 2018)
A levels in Physics, Chemistry and Maths
AS levels in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology

I also have significant experience with all Microsoft Office software, and moderate coding experience using the Python language.
I tutored GCSE students in maths and science whilst studying for my A levels.
I have also been working as a shift manager at McDonald's for the last 4 years alongside my studies, in which time I have encountered many different people from different backgrounds which has helped me develop different teaching/management styles suiting different people more appropriately.
I feel very strongly about ensuring everybody has equal opportunities to reach their maximum potential, and I am unfortunately aware of the negative consequences of having bad/unenthusiastic teachers during GCSEs and A levels. I'd like to help students become more excited about their future, and what prospects they may have.
For my dissertation project during my final year at university, I created an exhibition poster for a science exhibition to explain to the public the concept of heavy-ion collisions (colliding atoms at very high speeds at particle colliders) which I found to be successful, and demonstrates my ability to portray difficult concepts in a much simpler way.
