I base my lessons on giving a deeper understanding of the subject matter so that the target material is learned and not just memorised. I am a firm believer of learning by experience, association and teaching, it is these pratices I would bering into lessons to help students grasp a deeper understanding.
I am a mature student of 30 years of age who has experience tutoring, from my time as an English teacher in asia. Now in my final year of an Engineering and Physics degree I am keen to help students from GCSE through to early University levels with any Maths, Physics or Engineering subjects.
My rates do vary according to the material required to be covered. Rates given are for GCSE and A-Level subjects. University level material may see an increase in rates but this will be detailed when necessary in advance.
As of September 2017, I am now a student at Loughborough University, and following something I know to be a passion in my life. I am currently in my second year of an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics, the first year of which I studied online with the Open University. This online section was completed whilst working and living in South Korea and whilst travelling India over 4 months, something that has certainly taught me self-discipline and perseverance.
I am influential and have a good understanding of what is required to get the best out of individuals and working in a team, a skill set I have used to my advantage when training employees and colleagues in my roles in management and business ownership.
Ambition & Drive
My ambition pushes me to the top of my game and ensures that I am constantly pursuing to be better. I have developed many professional skills during my career, and all have helped me surpass expectations within many work situations.
Aside from my professional career, my recent endeavours in education are also Testament to my ambition and drive. I completed a 3-year Open University pathway in 2 years whilst working and travelling abroad – I would also like to highlight that prior to starting my Open University Course I used free online learning resources such as Coursera and Khan Academy to educate myself to an A level ability whilst travelling South East Asia and South Africa. This is a great show of character and shows I can be trusted to work to my own initiative when required.

Director / Owner - Redwood Telemarketing
Redwood Telemarketing is a technology focused lead generation agency and was founded in 2011. Alongside the typical operational duties, I had such as: account management, sales, client support, training, recruitment and delivering telemarketing activity for my clients; I also had many other strategic focuses.
I successfully transitioned the focus of the company, diverting attention away from Redwood’s original smaller target market and onto a broader range of business opportunities. I did so to find organisations where funding for telemarketing was more accessible. This enabled me to position Redwood as a provider of higher value services, meaning more time could be spent retaining customers and focusing on customer service. Next, I redeveloped the website, refreshing both the content and design and initiated a well thought out social media strategy, with an aim of increasing online presence amongst target markets.
My underlining success during this time was that in my first year in charge I increased gross profit by 19% and the Net Profit 39%, following which I employed the business’ first two members of staff.
