I'm a recent physics and philosophy graduate from Aberdeen University, and I'd like to offer maths tuition to primary and early secondary school pupils. I've only tutored once before (for a five-year-old, so more like learning numbers than learning maths!), but having studied a mathematical subject at degree level I am confident in my abilities to tutor school mathematics. I'd be more than happy to prepare exercises for students, or to help with exercises they've already been assigned. I babysat for a few years while at secondary school, and have a young nephew, so am comfortable working with children. At secondary school I studied maths at Intermediate 2 and Higher level, and achieved an A for both, so would be keen to help other students to achieve the grades they are aiming for. I'm friendly and approachable, and willing to answer any questions you might have, about teaching style or specific things you'd like to learn, just ask!
I studied maths at secondary school at Intermediate 2 and Higher level, and have a first class honours degree in physics from the University of Aberdeen. I have tutored a primary school child before in basic reading, writing and maths. In my final year at university I was a lab demonstrator for first year students' practical lab sessions.
