I am a college student, soon to be university student who studies Maths, Physics and Computing for a joint masters degree in Physics and Computing Science at Glasgow University. I have studied these three subjects from National 5 to Advanced Higher, obtaining excellent results in each subject at all three levels. My teaching style is interactive and enthusiastic. I ensure that I go through my lessons thoroughly ensuring my student(s) have a firm understanding of what I am teaching. I lay out structured lessons plans for each of my lessons tailored to suit the needs of the student(s). I operate best tutoring one on one or of small groups of students (up to 5).
I have previous teaching experience as my time as an RAF cadet where I completed the method of instruction course, which meant that I then began teaching younger cadets lessons, I was teaching as a cadet in my final three years at school. The cadets I taught all passed the subjects that I was teaching with great results. Since school I have attended City of Glasgow College were I study HNC Computing Science. I have tutored one on one previously with primary to secondary students.
James has many attributes to make him a great tutor. James is a conscientious and sincere person. He is very into science and computing and knows his subjects very well.
James has a kind nature, and any student will not feel overwhelmed by his company, and can be assured that he will take his time to explain things. I can say this with confidence from his interactions with his younger cousin.
James has done tutoring in the RAF Cadets, he was very well received by the students he was tutoring and received very positive feedback. Also while working on updating a fully automated computerized geological analytical system he tutored employees on the use of the new analytical program. He also explained the complete system to PHD geology students who did not have any previous knowledge of the system, after the seminar they all agreed that they had a much broader knowledge of geological analytical techniques and said that what they had been taught would most probably be included in their final dissertation.
